Please start from prologue of this story

We read all the subjects of the day and finally, that was the end of our schooling of the day. The ninth class had still one subject pending. I stayed outside to wait for them and meet Sahira again and thank her, but my reason for staying and waiting was my friend Ubaid, who also was a class ninth student.

Entirely, of mine, Sahira, and Ziya’s talking, I noticed Ubaid looking at me quietly and laughing a little. I forget to tell you that before Sahira, the only boy who would talk to me with the characters of trust and friendship was Ubaid and the girl who would make me feel my own reality before, was Areeba.

Sahira’s mid-two incisors were far from each other, which first seems very strange to me, because I had always observed a mouth with the filled boundaries of golden teeth, rarely white. I was imagining the recent conversation and was waiting for them when suddenly I heard her voice waving to my ears. “Zayin….” I turn back and said “yes?” pretending as I didn’t notice her voice.

“Who are you waiting for?” she said in that girly manner, like a child in a very innocent little over-acting mood.

“I am waiting for Ubaid,” I said in nervousness thinking that I was not able to thank her for that time. In that ongoing nervous moment, I randomly asked her about Ziya. “Ziya is busy with her shoes, and we shouldn’t disturb her.” She said sarcastically with her one eye closed and her lips a little stretched to the left side. As she concluded, Ziya came out from the building.

“Oh, Ziya! Zayin is looking for you.” Said Sahira to her and then continued “From a long long time ago…” and at the end exhibited a silent laugh.

“Yep Zayin? Any work?” Ziya said to me ignoring Sahira’s words.

I was confused for what to say to Ziya, because the rabbit eyed girl Sahira had made the situation more complex than it would had been. I looked to Ziya and noticed one of the most precious creations of God standing in front of me. She was beautiful, her smile was adorable, she was filled with innocent eyes and she was the hub of knowledge. Thinking these things I got a point to say.

“I know it is foolish, but you are intelligent…” I paused for a second and then continued “and that is all. I actually am waiting for Ubaid.” And I again repeated the sentence I am waiting for Ubaid.

She shook her head and said, “Thanks for everything, but I am not intelligent Zayin. I don’t know what you have observed, but I believe that when you will reach to our stage, you will also know what we know.” Her words reflected her to be a person down to the earth, her cute manner of talking and gesturing was amazing. Then she looked to her blue wrist watch and realize that she would be late to home. She instantly said “Ok, bye Zayin.” Then walked some distance and loudly refer to Sahira and said “Bye, late for home.” Sahira waves her hand to her in reply and then shouted loudly “Bye.”

Ziya had left, but Ubaid was still missing.

“So, how did it go?” she said sarcastically pointing to Ziya.

I really had no idea what she was saying about. So to clear my confusion I said, “What about, about?”

“Nothing; I was just kidding.” She said and then smiled like a child. Whenever she would smile or laugh in her discipline way, I would forget that she is older than me. She was the kind of girl who loves to smile and laugh and to be happy. But that time her smile made me say the sentence. I apologize her and it was hard that time to look to her. I was looking down, filled with guilt. Maybe it might be some kind of normal situation for another guy, but what it feels when you behave rudely to the person, who; no matter what, keeps smiling. But in answer, she totally did something different. She approached her hand to me and said, “Hello stranger, my name is Sahira. Well what is yours?”

I look to her for a second with the guilty eyes and choke lips and then answered after a while, “Zayin it is. But you can call me whatever you want.”

“Ok Slow-motion, I think we are not strangers now. We are friends, aren’t we?” she said with the beautiful nickname to me. It was my first nickname she had given to me, and it was Slow-motion. Whenever I listen this word slow-motion anywhere from anyone, my eyes get filled with the brine and at that time, there is no place in this world that can calm my heart. I can only survive then, I can’t live that moment anymore. She then again repeated the sentence “I like to make new friends and I am afraid that I have to say this new friend a sweet good-bye because I am going to be late for home.” She said these words and left and in the way she waved her hand to me as the sign of good-bye. I too did wave my hand until she got a wagon swiftly.

“Zayin…” the obese voice called my name. I looked back and saw Ubaid there. Ubaid was a thin, tall boy with a very less beard on his chin.

“Where have you been for this long time?” I said to him in little anger, actually pretending to be angry.

“First say me something.” He said coming near to me.

“What?”

 “Something, something…”

“Something, something what?” I really wasn’t aware that what he was up to. Before that was Sahira’s ‘about, about,’ and then Ubaid’s ‘Something, something.’

“You like the girl I know. But among Ziya and Sahira, who is she?” he said to me with an unstoppable smiling face. Everything was going such strange with these smiles and ‘about, about’ and ‘something, something’ things that i believed for a second that I was just a script of a Lego movie.

“Honestly Ubaid, They are nothing to me more than friends.” I said and proceeded, “You know that I do have a crush. She is such amazing that I can’t think of anyone else.” After my conclusion, Ubaid came to believe my words and suddenly disappeared with his friends. As I tended to leave, I saw Mohsin.

“You here too! When will you let me inhale the silent fragrance?” Mohsin pretended to be sarcastic with his healthy white cheek, but unfortunately, he was not a good actor.

“So you coming with me or I coming with you?” I asked very seriously but he again sarcastically replied, “Whatever, only my ears are going to be sacrificed.”

After some time having a little discussion, we decided to go on foot home. That is what we were doing for the past two years. We would have to pass through a green field which was higher than the surrounding land and we had named that ‘peace-place.’

We took some fast food, and begin to conquer the three and a half kilometers. When we reach the peace-place, we saw some girls were already present there. They were laughing loudly like a witch was casting the spells on her prey. We decided to leave without resting there. But as we reach near, there were some familiar faces. Then I recognise Sahira’s three classmates were there. They invite us too to join them and we did. We planned to leave after thirty minutes and till then we would play games and attack each other’s junk food.
